Position: Mig Welder
Function: To build frames using a mig welding process.
To assemble and sometimes fabricate all parts in production of various trailer styles & sizes immediately ready to be prepared and finished into a final quality product.
Under the direction and coaching of a supervisor they are responsible for the welding of plate, forgings mild and galvanized with thickness ranging from 1/16 inches to 1/2 inches.
A mig welding process is used on a variety of materials including low alloy steels.
Responsibilities:
- Welder is also responsible to note discrepancies or errors on the blueprints/drawings and then bring them immediately to the Supervisor's attention to ensure accuracy.
- Welder is responsible to ensure that welds are completed to quality standards. Involves preventative maintenance of welding equipment.
Qualifications:
- Reading, understanding and applying blueprints and/or drawings is required. Reviewing blueprints and drawings to meet quality standards is necessary.
